Opening
We opened up with footage setting up the Final Four of the World Title Tournament that will commence here tonight.
Match 1:Semi-Final World Title Tournament Match
Chris Benoit vs. Jeff Jarrett
Benoit opened up on Jarrett and hit a Middle Rope DDT early on and scored a two count. Benoit missed a baseball slide on Jarrett and then both men went to the outside. Jarrett dropped Benoit on the ringpost crotch first. The fans chanted "Benoit, Benoit, Benoit." Back in the ring they went where Jarrett hit a powerslam but only got a two count on a pin attempt.
Benoit rolled Jarrett up out of nowhere and scored a two count. Jarrett popped up and hit a dropkick and followed up with a cover for a two count only. Jarrett then slapped on a Sleeper Hold on Benoit and the fans rallied behind Benoit. Benoit escaped the sleeper but was knocked down to the mat with a shoulder tackle. Benoit then slapped on a sleeper of his own but Jarrett hit a jawbreaker breaking the hold. Both men were on the mat and then both got up at the same time and went toe to toe. Benoit hit a backbreaker then received a series of chops from Benoit.
Benoit then hit three German Suplexes in a row and nearly got the three count. Then out came Creative Control to the ringside area to get a closer look. Benoit was knocked to the outside. CC threw Benoit back into the ring and Jarrett went for a pick up but Benoit turned it into a cross body and scored a two count. Benoit countered a sunset flip into a butt drop. Benoit hit a belly to back suplex and went up top! Benoit landed the Diving Headbutt and went for the cover, and got a two count and then CC pulled Benoit out and went to work on Benoit while the ref was distracted. Jarrett then hit the Stroke on Benoit. Dustin Rhodes ran down and went to work on CC.
Jarrett picked up the guitar and Benoit stole it then clocked Jarrett and covered Benoit for the three count to advance to the Finals!

Creative Control then started to finish off Benoit trying to injure him until security came down and broke it up.
Match 2:$25,000 Challenge Match
Cruiserweight Title Match
Disco Inferno(c) vs. Evan Karagias w/Madusa
Disco was attacked in the back by Double J before the match then Tony Maranera told Disco to get to the ring and brought Disco to the ring then joined Bobby and Tony for commentary. Evan and Disco went back and forth for a bit then Disco went to work on Evan taking control. Tony said Disco owes him $45,000. Evan tried to hit a backslide and did so and scored a two. Disco then drove Evan down to the mat and danced for the crowd.
Disco hit a nice Side Russian Legsweep then blew a kiss at Madusa and covered Evan, but only got a two count. Evan went over the top rope and Madusa checked on Evan. Disco then splashed Evan on the outside. The fight went to the outside and then back into the ring. Disco went up top and tried a splash but Evan got the knees up in time sending Disco down in pain. On the outside they went again and Tony left the broadcasters and went after Madusa. Evan came over to see what was going on. Disco then picked up a chair and missed Evan and smacked Tony with the chair.
Back in the ring, Evan hit a cross body on Disco and scored a three count to win the whole shabang.
Winner:Evan Karagias by pinfall and new CW Champ and $25,000 richer
Match 3:Hardcore Title Match
Norman Smiley vs. Brian Knobbs w/Jimmy Hart
Weapons were scattered around the ringside area and Smiley came out wearing Toronto Maple Leafs attire. A broom handle was the first thing that found Smiley's head followed by a trash can lid. Hart tossed a trash can in for Knobbs but Smiley picked it off and used it on Knobbs. Smiley then smashed Knobbs with a trash can lid. Hart was met with a broom to the eye then Smiley was attacked from behind by Knobbs with a trash can lid.
Knobbs then took off Smiley's hockey gear. Knobbs grabbed the trash can lid and smacked Knobbs then Hart came back to life and jumped on Smiley. Knobbs connected with a trash can on Smiley then cracked a can lid across Smiley's head a few more times. To the outside we went and near the entranceway. In the back we finally went and there were even more weapons for their usage. A table came into view. Smiley was sent head first into a wall in the back. Smiley was screaming once again and they went to the storage room where food was all over the place.
Hart threw canned foods at Smiley, apparently having a food drive. A food fight was on! Into the freight elevator they went and the two brawled in the elevator then closed the door and opened it and Hart tried to hit Smiley when the door opened but hit Knobbs instead. Smiley then covered Knobbs for the three count!
Winner:Smiley by pinfall and new Hardcore Champ
Match 4:Six-Person Elimination Match
Dean Malenko/Saturn/Asya w/Shane Douglas vs. Eddy Guerrero/Kidman/Torri Wilson w/Konan
Saturn hit an Asia Moonsault on Eddy and Kidman. Eddy then hit a big splash on Malenko. Asya then got Torri and beat her down until Torri hit a hair takedown on Asya and drove Asya down into the mat. Kidman then sent Asya down hard and Torri looked to have hurt her ankle. Eddy pushed Kidman by accident and Malenko rolled Kidman up and got the three count eliminating Kidman. 2 on 3. Saturn and Malenko hit a nice Combination Guillotine Legdrop, but only got a two count. Asya then hit a terrific vertical suplex on Eddy and got a two. Konan walked off to the back. Malenko was then eliminated after a reversal by Eddy. 2 on 2. Torri continued to favor her ankle on the outside.
Asya continued to work over Eddy until Saturn missed a sidekick and hit Asya and Eddy went up and hit a Frogsplash for the three count leaving Saturn by himself. 1 on 2. Eddy slapped on a sleeper on Saturn but then Saturn hit a jawbreaker. Both men struggled to get back up. Eddy hit a Tornado DDT on Saturn and made a cover but only got a two count. Saturn then hit a DVD and made the cover, but only got a two count! Saturn missed a top rope splash and Eddy reached out to tag in Torri, but Eddy went back to fight Saturn as Torri was still injured. Out of nowhere, Saturn slapped on the Rings of Saturn and Eddy tapped out leaving it down to Torri vs. Saturn! Torri was scared to climb in and fight.
Torri hit a low blow out of nowhere, then covered Saturn and nearly won it. Douglas had enough and low blowed Torri and then Torri was eliminated by Saturn with a pin for the three.

Match 5:Retirement Match
Buff Bagwell vs. Curt Hennig
Before the match, Bagwell was laid out by Creative Control and Jarrett. CC and Jarrett then came to the ring instead of Bagwell and beat down on Hennig. Bagwell came to the ring with a 2 X 4 and cleaned house. Bagwell and Hennig then went at it. To the outside the fight went and Hennig sent Bagwell into the guardrails around the ring racking Bagwell's head. Bagwell then sent Hennig into the front row and Bagwell hit a double axe handle on Hennig. The two continued to brawl on the outside after brawling in the stands. Bagwell was knocked around on the outside some more then Hennig sent Bagwell back into the ring and drove a foot into the head of Bagwell. Hennig hit a low blow on Bagwell bringing up the fan's approval.
Hennig put on a reverse chinlock on Bagwell and Bagwell tried to fight it off, then was dropped down to a sitting position and the ref dropped Bagwell's arm down twice, but not three times. Bagwell fought it off then was dropped down to the mat with a knee to the back. Bagwell and Hennig exchanged rights and lefts then Bagwell knocked Hennig down and went up top and hit the Blockbuster and scored a three count for the win sending Hennig packing. The fans then gave Hennig a standing ovation.

Match 6:Semi-Final World Title Tournament Match
Bret Hart vs. Sting
Hart received a huge pop when he came to the ring and Sting was boo'ed. Hart opened up with patented rights then knocked Sting to the outside. They brawled on the outside then went back into the ring. Hart sent Sting back into the ring and Hart took control then Sting hit a low blow taking control back. Sting dropped Hart with a scoop slam then hit an elbow drop and covered Hart, but only got a two count. The fans tried to rally behind Hart. To the outside they went again and Sting sent Hart onto the broadcaster's table and hit a Stinger Splash on Hart on the table. Back in the ring Sting sent Hart.
Hart landed a big boot to the head knocking Sting down to the mat. Sting held onto the ref and then Hart kayoed the ref on accident. Luger and Liz came to the ring with a baseball bat in hand and Luger laid out Sting with the bat. Hart then laid out Luger then put the Sharpshooter on Luger. The ref came to and called for the bell. The ref said that Hart has won by DQ. Hart then requested that the match continue and so it did.
Hart hit a Russian legsweep, made a cover, but only got a two. Sting then caught Hart off the top and slapped on a Scorpion DeathLock on Hart. Hart tried to squirm out and reversed the hold and slapped on the Sharpshooter and Sting had to tap out sending Hart to the Finals!

Match 7:Chain Match
Berlyn w/The Wall vs. Vampiro w/Jerry of the Misfits
The two men were hooked together by their necks rather than the standard wrists. Dr. Death Steve Williams and the Jim Ross imposter, Oklahoma came to the ring for commentary. Vampiro opened up with shots on Berlyn. Berlyn then gave Jerry the boots on the outside. The Wall then knocked Vampiro down from the second rope sending Oklahoma into a frenzy. Vampiro was then a victim of a chokeslam by The Wall which sent Oklahoma into another frenzy. Beryln then went to work on Vampiro after taking off his collar. Berlyn then smacked the chain across the back of Vampiro. The Wall then walked off to the back for no reason.
Vampiro went up top and must have broken Berlyn in half. Vampiro and Jerry double teamed Berlyn then Vampiro hit a suplex. Vampiro then wrapped the chain around Berlyn and put Berlyn in a Camel Clutch and Berlyn tapped out. Dr. Death then ran in and destroyed everyone in the sight sending Oklahoma into another frenzy.
Winner:Vampiro by submission
Hall was in the back and he had both the TV and US Titles because Rick Steiner has been forced to forfeit the TV Title due to the fact that he was injured on Nitro. Hall laid out an open challenge to anyone for a match here tonight.
Match 8:Meng vs. Lex Luger w/Liz
Luger came to the ring wearing his neckbrace from his "injury" he sustained earlier tonight. Luger was victim of open hand chops right away from Meng. Luger was on the ropes as Meng continued to beat down on Luger. Meng gave Luger some hard chops to the chest again then sent Luger to the outside and the two brawled on the outside. Meng landed some more chops. Meng tried to slap on the Tongan Deathgrip, but Luger's neckbrace was in the way and Meng couldn't put it on.
Luger came on the offensive for the first time tonight and tried to thwart Meng with some headbutts but that woke Meng up. Luger tried some more offense but to no avail as Meng landed a big headbutt than ran over Luger with a clothesline. Liz then tried to spray Meng with a substance but missed and sprayed Luger. Liz was horrified by her actions. Meng then ripped off the neckbrace and put the Tongan DeathGrip on Luger and shoved Luger down to the mat and scored the three count earning the win.

Match 9:United States/Television Title Match
Scott Hall(c)(c) vs. Booker T.
Hall came out and made an open challenge to whomever wanted to get some. Booker T. came out to answer the challenge. Hall threw his toothpick in Booker's face then the match was on. Hall and Booker exchanged rights and lefts then Booker knocked Hall to the outside with a forearm shot. Hall climbed back in then Booker was chokeslammed down to the mat by Hall and Hall scored a two count. Booker went for a cross body block but Hall caught Booker then dropped him with a Fallaway Slam. Hall then clotheslined Booker to the outside.
Hall rocked Booker on the outside with a big right then sent Booker back in. Hall dropped Booker with a big roundhouse right then slapped on a sleeper hold right in the middle of the ring. Jeff Jarrett and Creative Control came to the ringside area to get a closer look. Back in the ring, Booker broke the hold then hit an Axe Kick then a Harlem Sidekick. Jarrett distracted the ref then CC came in, but Booker cleared them off. Booker climbed up top to yell at Jarrett and Hall came up from behind and hit a Top Rope Outsider Edge for the three count and the win. CC and Jarrett double teamed Booker then the lights went out and Booker's lady friend, Midnight, came in and cleared house then helped Booker up.
Winner:Hall by pinfall and still US and TV Champ
Match 10:David Flair vs. Kimberly
Kimberly stretched in the corner pleasing the eyes of the fans and taunting David. David dropped his crowbar in the corner then got ready to fight. Kim went for a low blow but had no affect because David had his protective cup on. Kim then begged David not to hit her with the crowbar and then unzipped his pants and pulled out his cup then beat David down and slapped him around. David then shoved Kim away and went for the crowbar but then Kanyon came down and dropped David with a Flatliner. Kanyon checked on Kim then David low blowed Kanyon then DDP ran in and gave David a Diamond Cutter. Arn Anderson ran down and made the save for David sending DDP and Kim to the back. David then picked up his crowbar again and smacked Double A square in the back.
Paramedics then rushed down and attended to Arn as David stomped off through the stands.

Match 11:I Quit Match
Goldberg vs. Sid Vicious
Goldberg came to the ring via his police escort then climbed into the ring and the action was on. A slugfest was on. Goldberg picked Sid up and dropped him with a powerslam. Goldberg clotheslined Sid to the outside then followed him up and the two went at it on the outside. Goldberg was on the offense until Sid took Goldberg down with a Death Penalty. Sid clotheslined Goldberg down then tried to wear him down across the top rope. Sid landed a series of punches to the chest then drove a foot to the back of the neck of Goldberg in the corner.
Sid went for the chokeslam and dropped Goldberg right down to the mat. Sid picked Goldberg up and went for another chokeslam and dropped Goldberg down one more time. Sid drove his hands into the neck of Goldberg trying to make him quit. Goldberg then slapped on a cross arm bar, and Sid wouldn't quit. Goldberg then worked over the arm wrenching Sid down. Sid favored his arm as Goldberg continued to work Sid over. Goldberg slapped on a combination Indian Deathlock and Cobra Clutch. The ref called for the bell as Sid had passed out. Goldberg questioned the ref as to why he called for the bell. The ref explained that Sid was out like a light.

Match 12:Finals of the World Title Tournament
Chris Benoit vs. Bret Hart
Hart locked up with Benoit in the corner driving him into the turnbuckle. Benoit then slapped on a wristlock then broke the hold. Hart and Benoit went back and forth putting on a technical wrestling clinic. Benoit slapped on a reverse chinlock then Hart tried to slide out. Benoit then tried a sunset flip off the ropes but Hart slid out and went for a Sharpshooter but Benoit turned it into a Crippler Crossface but Hart got the ropes and broke the hold.
Back up the two went with Hart taking control. A fan in Canadian get up hopped the guardrail and attacked Benoit with a Canadian Flag when Hart sent Benoit to the outside. The fan was none other than Dean Malenko. Hart then sent Malenko reeling and then security took Malenko off to the back. Hart hit a piledriver in the ring and tried to win with a pin but only got a two count. Hart then stomped down on Benoit using the ropes for leverage. Benoit came back with some major Benoit chops and kicks to the gut.
Benoit dropped Hart with a backbreaker then back body dropped Hart down to the mat. Benoit hit a belly to back side suplex then got a two count on a pin attempt. Hart hit a DDT and scored a two count. Hart sent Benoit to the ropes and went for a tiltowhirl but Benoit reversed it and hit a Tombstone Piledriver. Benoit went up top and hit a Diving Headbutt! Benoit made a cover but only got a two. Hall came down ringside and pulled the ref out and clocked him. Nash ran down and laid out Benoit then Goldberg came down and speared Nash. Hart and Hall went at it on the outside while Goldberg and Benoit were in the ring and Nash staggered to the back followed by Hall. Goldberg followed after the Outsiders and beat both up in the aisleway.
Back in the ring, a new ref came in. Benoit hit a dragon screw legwhip sending Hart down to the mat. Benoit continued to work over Hart's knee and leg in the ring. We saw a split screen of in-ring and in the back action. Goldberg was being beaten down by Hall and Nash. In the ring, Benoit was still in control. Benoit then slapped on a figure four right in the middle of the ring. The ref checked on Hart to see if he wanted to give it up. Hart managed to slide over the ropes and grasp the ropes to break the hold. Benoit then stomped on Hart in the corner until Hart came back with stomps of his own followed by a backbreaker. Hart took Benoit up top and climbed up and hit a Top Rope Superplex. Both men tried to get up. Hart made a cover but Benoit was in the ropes.
Hart then stomped down on Benoit near the ropes. Benoit favored his back and Hart capitalized with a Russian Legsweep. Hart made a cover, but only got a two count. Benoit fell on top of Hart with a cross body and got a two count. Hart then sent Benoit to the outside. Hart stayed in the ring then pulled Benoit back up on the apron. Hart went for a suplex back into the ring but Benoit flipped out and hit three German Suplexes. Then went for the Crippler Crossface but Hart fought it off then slapped on a Sharpshooter and Benoit was too far away from the ropes to escape. Benoit had to tap out and Hart won his first WCW World Title. His family came in and celebrated with Hart. Benoit congratulated Hart then Hart raised up the Canadian Flag summing up the night.
Winner:Bret Hart by submission and new World Champion.
