Vito LaGrasso already rubbed some in WCW the wrong way with his "uncourteous attitude" backstage at Nitro.

Due to time restraints, wrestlers are sometimes being notified by the referees just before their matches to cut the planned match time in half.

Referee Mark Jackson and Buff Bagwell arrived over an hour late for the PPV last Sunday (at 2:15 p.m.). Both were reprimanded and Jackson wasn't allowed to referee.

The next day at Nitro, Bret Hart arrived at 5:30, hours late. No word on if he had a valid excuse.

Van Hammer is scheduled to receive a new gimmick and a steady push.

Piper Is not well liked by other wrestlers. He comes across as aloof and makes a big production out of his entrance and exit into the arena. This Monday was no different. As has been the case since Piper affived in WCW, he had his friend/assistant, Craig (indy wrestler Bart Sawyer), with him. Craig opened the doors for him and carried his bags for him. After his interview, backstage Piper wore a towel over his head as if he had just finished a grueling wrestling match as he left the arena. Again, Craig (who was a male stripper on the side during his wrestling stints in Portland and Memphis) was opening doors for him. Wrestlers snicker at the interaction between Piper and Craig.

WCW Saturday Night tapings will no longer be held on a separate night, but instead will become part of the weekly Tuesday Thunder tapings. Starting Dec. 7, Thunder will be taped on Tuesdays. It will still air on Thursdays until January at which point it moves to Wednesday nights.

Mark Madden met with WCW officials to discuss the proposed variety show he and the Outsiders will host. The talks were said to have gone well and it is expected an announcement about the show will take place soon. Many in WCW are laughing at the trio's idea of winging the show rather than writing and sticking to a script.
