More and more the Vince Russo era and power is being felt in WCW. Since matches in WCW have been shortened Russo has stated that he has higher expectations of the wrestlers and expects the wrestlers to work harder since the matches are shorter. Russo has also asked the wrestlers to get in better shape and work out more so that there do not have to be a lot of rest spots in the matches which cause the momentum of the matches to stop and often cause the crowd to become less involved. Russo, Ferrera, and Banks are all trying to get WCW to put forth more effort into the WCW Power Plant. There is a general feeling by many of the WCW officials that WCW must upgrade there Power Plant to the level of the WWF’s training facilities if they are to be successful at creating wrestlers in the future.
While Jim Ross has stated that Macho Man will not becoming to the WWF, both The Wrestling World Hotline and Georgiann Makropoulos are reporting that Gorgeous George is telling people that she is going to the WWF soon.
