Jeff Jarret’s popularity among WCW fans is enormous. His World Title match on Nitro against Bret Hart got a solid 3.5 quarter hour rating at 9:00 when WWF’s Raw is War just comes on. Everyone is very impressed with Jeff Jarret's in ring ability, and persona on the Mic. Monday on Nitro, Jarret, after losing his match against Bret Hart, got mad at The Powers That Be, and Creative Control, Pat and Gerald. Many speculate Jarret will turn face, and this is the quick off. Jeff is supposedly to start a feud with Curt Henning, the newly announced Chosen One, possibly by stopping Henning’s interference in a match.
Bob Ryder that there's a hot rumor going around the Time Warner, the parent company for WCW, is in negotiations to buy NBC. The first reports of this came from comments made by Rupert Murdoch, but both Time Warner and GE, the owners of NBC, have denied the reports.
