Taz To Debut Earlier Than The Royal Rumble? Raven To Be More Involved Backstage

Taz was first recruited by Vince Russo of the WWF, even though Russo is gone, the WWF still plans to use Taz as a high priority. Earlier reports stated Taz would debut at the Royal Rumble at Madison Square Garden. If WCW’s new creative team keeps coming closer week by week, plans are expected to change to have Taz debut earlier, and have his in-ring debut at the Royal Rumble. The way things are looking now; Taz will start off his first few matches by running threw high mid card opponents like The Big Bossman, Billy Gunn, and Road Dogg. Then a huge build up will take place with Taz and another high mid carder (possibly Val Venis) that will span out over months and create an on-going feud between the two.

Although Raven of ECW is not an official booker, some speculate that once Taz is gone, Ravens ideas will be more respected and he will have a bigger role backstage than ever.
